General conditions for amendment/cancellation 2021

  • Bookings, changes and cancellations: Can be made 1 hour before departure time if not other notified.
  • Changes and cancellations: Shall be made 24 hours before the departure time if not other notified. Booked vehicles that cancel later will be invoiced cancellation fee of 20 euro (heavy traffic 200% of the regular ticket fee). Vehicles that do not cancel the trip at all (no show) will be invoiced 40 euro fee (heavy traffic 200% of the regular ticket fee + 40 euro). “Lighter” vehicles that have not prepaid for the ticket will also be invoiced the regular ticket fee.   • Vehicles/passengers must be ready to embark at least 5/10/15 minutes before the time of departure, for details see respective timetables. Vehicles arriving later than this will lose their reservation and the prepaid ticket will not be refunded.
  • Reservations cancelled 24 h at the latest (if not other notified) before departure are refunded (except a handling fee of 5 euro). Please contact Ålandstrafiken.
  • Rebooking of departure to another departure on the same day is allowed 2 h before booked departure on the travel day at the latest to Ålandstrafiken (office hours) without additional cancellation fee. This applies to light vehicles and commercial traffic.
  • Vehicles with Green, Green-Yellow season ticket or vehicles without season ticket cancel/amend their reservation 24 h at the latest before departure from start harbour during high season (week 24-33). For other periods reservation shall be cancelled/amended 12 h before departure.
  • Vehicles with Red, Red-Yellow season ticket cancel/amend their reservation 6 h at the latest before departure during high season (week 24-33). For other periods reservation shall be cancelled/amended 3 h before departure.
  • Companies with commercial traffic and other heavy commercial traffic incl. buses that have stated an archipelago municipality as their home municipality cancel/amend their reservation 12 h at the latest before departure during high season (week 24-33). For other periods reservation shall be cancelled/amended 6 h before departure.
  • Other companies with commercial traffic and other heavy commercial traffic incl. buses cancel/amend their reservation 24 h at the latest before departure.
  • Ordered departure time that is not used will be charged 80 euro. Cancellation time is the same as the last time the departure can be ordered/booked.
  • Claims for additional fees; Fee for late cancellation and no-show will not be invoiced if customer can provide acceptable reason. Acceptable reasons can be e.g. illness, care for child with illness, traffic accident, other extensive traffic interruptions or damaged vehicle. If customer considers that there is an acceptable reason why cancellation was not made within time or that booked/ordered departure or departure for fuel transportation was not used, the customer shall notify Ålandstrafikens office when cancelling the reservation or within a week from booked departure. If the reason is acceptable, the customer shall submit verification within three weeks to why they could not cancel the trip within time. Customer who have not presented acceptable reason within mentioned time cannot afterwards present “acceptable reason”.
